Historic downtown Cartersville is compact and busy in the best way. From 124 W Cherokee and 11 Noble you can walk to the square for supper, a cup of coffee, a show, or a Saturday morning at the farmers market. Most of what you want on a regular week is a few blocks away — you do not need the car for an evening out.

The district stays lively after work: restaurants stay open, people move between Main, Wall, and Cherokee, and the Downtown Development Authority fills the calendar with festivals, music, and holiday nights. Saturdays from May through September usually mean the farmers market in the morning.

When you do leave town, I-75 is a short drive west. The north-side homes on Falcon Circle are a few minutes up the interstate if you are comparing both parts of Cartersville.
